The books on this CDrom will be of interest to anyone researching their ancestors in the Bradford and Bingley areas.

Navigation of this book on the CD rom is enhanced by the use of "Active Links" on the index and contents pages, and the whole of both of the books are machine searchable.

"Continuations to the History of Bradford" is a somewhat mis-leading title to the book and would have been more aptly titled "An updated History of Bradford", as it seems to cover all the information in the previous "History of Bradford" from some 25 years previous, but additionally has information not included in the previous book, and of course the information from the 25 years between the publications. There is neither contents nor index to this book, and so in order to assist those who would like to know a bit more about the contents of the book, the folowing are available here on-line:

Old Bingley, by the well known Yorkshire historian, Harry Speight is a History of the parish of Bingley and some of the surrounding places, starting at "Primeval Bingley", through the Ice Age, Manorial history etc., up to the 1890s when the book was published. There are numerous illustrations, both line drawings and photographs.

In order to give you a better idea of the information in the book the following items are available on line:
