Idle W.M.C.

In Bradford, West Yorkshire, there is a village called Idle. As in many other Yorkshire places it has a Working Men's Club. These are places where the working class men would go for a pint and maybe a game of snooker, they still do. These days you will also see women members. One of the highlights of the week in a W.M.C. is the 'turn', this is the entertainment provided by singers, comedians and so on.

Requests come from people all over the world for membership to the humorous sounding Idle Working Men's Club, for this the club provides a honourable membership scheme.

Idle takes its curious name from Ida, the Northumbrian overlord.
