Navigation of the books on the CD rom is enhanced by the use of "Active Links".

Two books with the same titles, but written 50 years apart. There is little duplication between them, for instance Baker's covers Prehistoric times, whereas Rowntree's starts with the Roman period. There is good coverage of the Castle, port and harbour along with churches, non-conformists etc. Unfortunately, there is no index in the earlier book (not a problem on the CDrom, as that is searchable). There are over 500 pages in each of the books.
