This book of over 400 pages is divided roughly into two sections: the main history and the appendix. The main history deals with the origin, the borough, the port, the Churches, the institutions, and the Topography of Hedon, along with a chapter on the tenure. The Appendix deals with the various Charters, the grant of Fair, inquisitions, the accounts of the Mayor, Bailiffs, Chamberlains, Wardens, and the various churches. The book contains lots of names, along with a glossary and a huge index.
